Chinley Drop In – drop in a big one!

The Team’s “£50,000 for Fifty Years Service Appeal” received a surprise boost on Friday when a donation of £220 was presented to Team Chairman, Roger Bennett by Chinley Drop In.

Chinley Drop In is a group which meets each Wednesday and Friday morning at The Parish Rooms in Chinley.   They are there to provide information about the parish to anyone who wants to just “drop in” and ask a question.  However the group has grown and now provides a valued meeting meeting place for all the residents of the village.  Tea and biscuits are always available and those “dropping in” often make a donation into a pot which is then distributed to local charities.

On this occasion Buxton Mountain Rescue Team was chosen to benefit when members heard about the £50,000 appeal.   Roger, thanking the members of Chinley Drop In said, “£220 is a magnificent donation from a small village community scheme and the team really appreciates the help towards its vehicle appeal.”

A special Certificate of Appreciation will soon be on its way to Chinley!
