Chatsworth Country Fair 4th, 5th, 6th September

It’s a great full day out for all the family and we would really like to meet you there.

For the Buxton Mountain Rescue Team, the annual Chatsworth Country Fair is by far the biggest single fundraising event in our calendar.  Held in the grounds of the Duke of Devonshire’s home at evening20balloonsChatsworth House, the fair attracts thousands of visitors each year.

The team assist the organisers by selling programmes at the venue gates each day.  By way of thanks, we are permitted to hold a blanket collection at each entrance/exit and have the privilege of a trade stall. Team members are on hand to explain the work we do, answer any questions about our activities, and of course, sell all sorts of goodies.   Towards the end of each day we also have about ten minutes to put on an action display in the main ring – raising as much money as we can from it.

We have been attending the event for about twenty-five years, and over that time raised many tens of thousands of pounds, and made many new friends.

Make this a date for your diary!  The fair is being held over three days this year, Friday 4th Septhember to Sunday 6tchatsworthh September.  Hot air balloons, air displays, bands, all sorts of demonstrations & exhibitions and hundreds of trade stalls.
Advance ticket sales are 10% cheaper than on the gate and there are other group discounts on offer.

The team is currently collecting quality items for stall – amazing tombola and raffle prizes.  If you have any suitable items to donate, please get in touch
