Buffaloes Boost Appeal

The Buffaloes, Cheshire Cheese Lodge, Buxton has been raising money throughout 2013 to support Buxton Mountain Rescue Team. Their fundraising activities have included quiz nights, a car-boot sale and a fun day in Buxton.  At the Lodge’s Annual Dinner at the Old Hall Hotel last Saturday a grand cheque for £2,644 was presented to the team.   Keith Birkit BEM who attended the dinner on behalf of the team to receive the cheque said, ” This is a fantastic donation which represents a year of hard work by just a small number of Buffaloes members.  It makes a significant contribution to the team’s £50,000 for Fifty Years Service appeal.”

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team extends a huge “Thank You” to the Cheshire Cheese Lodge.  A donation of this size is a real encouragement to our attempts to raise £50,000 this year.  It is amazing what lengths people will go to to raise money for a cause they have no direct connection with.  That is the sort of generosity which keeps the rescue team and many other charities going.  Thanks to everyone who helped in any way to make the donation possible.
