Not satisfied with completing The Great North Run earlier this year, our keen supporter and veteran “sprinter”, Bruce Taylor from Taddington, has officially entered in to LONDON 10,000 in May 2009.   Bruce has already raised hundreds of pounds for the rescue team and wants to carry on raising even more.  His supporter’s web page at www.justgiving.com/brucetaylor2is already live and waiting for your encouraging sponsorship.  Bruce says, “Its raising the money that keeps me smiling.” 

Monday 25th May is the big day so Bruce still has plenty of time for training to beat his time from the 2008 inaugural race.  He said, “The weather was awful with strong winds and rain but at least the route takes in many of the sites of central London.”  No time for sight seeing Bruce, we just want to see a blur of red as that shirt flies past the cameras.  Good luck!
