Bank Staff Go Over The Edge for Charity

Four intrepid and brave staff members from the Buxton branch of TSB took part in a sponsored abseil in aid of Buxton Mountain Rescue on Wednesday night.  There were some petrified faces in Miller’s Dale as each adventurer slowly lowered themselves over the edge and down the seventy foot drop to safety and solid ground.
TSB Buxton has kindly nominated Buxton Mountain Rescue Team as its charity of the year and are staging various events throughout the year to raise funds for the team. Dave Goodman, Fundraising Manager for the rescue team said, “It’s a real pleasure to have such enthusiastic people willing to go out of their way to help Buxton Mountain Rescue Team. When they asked how they can help us, I don’t think they expected to be going over the edge of a viaduct!”
The abseil took place at a viaduct on the Monsal Trail (a disused railway line now popular with walkers and cyclists).
