2016 Quiz raises £241. Lucky winners announced.
This quiz needed you to find a place name within the British Isles which cunningly concealed the name of a unit of measurement. For instance; Home of the Trotters? ans: PECKham. Easy? Well there were sixty similar questions and getting them all right was a challenge even for the most dedicated quizzers.
Top prize for a fully correct answer sheet goes to Mrs Barton of Shoeburyness (there must be a quiz in that town name!) in Essex. Runner up, drawn at random from all returned sheets regardless of how many were correct, was Mrs Mitchell of Beaston, Derbyshire. Congratulations to the winners and a big thank-you to everyone who entered.
This quiz raised £241 and the team sends a huge “Thank You” to Gillian for her continued support which has now raised a total of over £2,465.
Watch out quiz lovers, a new quiz should be available in the spring.
