Incident report
The team was requested to assist East Midlands Ambulance Service with a lady who had fallen off a climb.
The casualty was assessed by paramedics, and provided with pain relief, before being transferred to a vacuum mattress to immobilise her and placed on a mountain rescue stretcher for a carry off to the waiting ambulance .
The team had to ensure the safety of the casualty and used a rope system to assist with safe extraction over a steep section of rock, before carrying her to the waiting ambulance.
