Incident report

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team called to assist West Midlands Ambulance Service following the report of a fallen climber at The Roaches.Roaches Aug 2015

A 24 year old man on a visit to the Peak District from Southampton had fallen from a boulder sustaining a suspected fracture to the leg.  Initial treatment was by ambulance staff before the casualty was placed onto a rescue stretcher for a gentle carry to where the West Midlands Air-ambulance had been able to land.  He was then flown to a North Staffordshire hospital for treatment.
