Incident report

One of our senior team members was in the right place at the right time when North West Ambulance Service was called to The Hollins, Langley, nr Macclefield.

An elderly lady from nearby Sutton had slipped on a remote muddy path whilst out walking her dogs.  The casualty was too far from the road for the crew to be able to carry to the land ambulance.  Our team member and qualified physiotherapist was in the area and able to assist with treatment.   A fractured leg was suspected and an air-ambulance was called to assist in the evacuation to Manchester’s Wythenshaw Hospital.

Thanks – thanks – thanks – to all concerned with rescuing my dear wife. Her fracture could have become much worse had the air ambulance come so quickly. Thanks from all our family and friends (inluding our two dogs).
