Incident report

A second call to the Monsal Trail relating to a sheep stranded high on a Shaun 2 Millers dale June 11 2016limestone cliff face.  This time the team was armed with better information and the bleating animal was quickly located.

It was well and truly stuck on a small ledge about eighty feet above Water-cum-Jolly and the River Wye.  A rope system was soon set up and an intrepid rescuer lowered down to his woolly casualty.  Sheep aren’t known for their common sense and we knew that with one false move it would have been an early sheep dipping time.  A swift move by the rescuer confounded the animal which was soon lashed up in a sling ready for a quick pull back to the top.

Sheep and grass were soon reunited without a Bah of thanks.
