Incident report

Buxton team members fitting out the new vehicle on base were called by a member of the public who had seen a dog fall of the edge of the main face of Mam Tor as it chased a bird. The caller was concerned that the owner was trying to recover the body of the dog, which was killed instantly, from the steep scree slopes. When the team arrived, the owner from Mansfield Woodhouse had recovered the dog, a greyhound, and was safe.
