Incident report

Again to Mam Nick, this time on the northern side of the ridge.

A 33 year old male from Lightwood, Stoke, had slipped whilst descending a track between Mam Nick and Greenlands Farm. He was walking with friends and sustained a lower leg injury.

He was treated on site by team members, including pain relief and splinting, prepared and evacuated by stretcher some 600 metres to the waiting land ambulance at Greenlands Farm. From there he was transferred to the Northern General Hospital, Sheffield, for further treatment.

Neil Carruthers, Buxton Team Leader said “Today’s incident was a simple slip that could happen to anyone. Following the damp conditions overnight, he slipped on the muddy path surface”
