Incident report

The Buxton team were called at 21:17 as part of the Kinder search plan along with Edale, Glossop and Kinder teams. Fifteen Buxton team members responded and were tasked with a search of the southern edge and plateau via Jacobs Ladder, Crowden Brook and Grindslow Knoll.
The casualty, a local man from the High Peak, was located at 23:20 hours west of Fairbrook Naze on the northern edge of Kinder Scout, by a search party from Glossop Team. After a quick hot drink and some food in a shelter tent, he was escorted off the hill.
After receiving confirmation that the overdue walker was OK to walk off, Buxton team members made their way off the hill and returned home to snatch a few hours sleep, before turning out to work a few hours later. A number of team members also returned to base before going home to ensure that the vehicles were made ready for the next callout.
