Incident report

The Kinder Scout search pre-plan was activated by Glossop rescue team following a report of two adults becoming disorientated after darkness fell.

The two people had left Snake Inn on the A57 during the afternoon to visit a landmark on the northern edge of Kinder.  With the early onset of darkness the pair became lost and phoned for assistance.  Glossop, Kinder, Edale and Buxton mountain rescue teams responded together with three search and rescue dogs.

A search party from Glossop team located the people in the catchment groughs of Fairbrook Clough and were escorted back to the Snake road.
