Incident report

Four Peak District Mountain Rescue Teams and two search and rescue dogs were deployed at 23.00 hours following the report a male lost on theCall out Jan 25th 2015 Kinder Plateau. The man, 28 years old from Denton, had ascended Kinder from the Hayfield side and it was believed that his intention was to make towards the Snake Road.  However he became disorientated in the darkness and mist and mountain rescue was alerted.  Not knowing his precise location or navigational experience the pre-planned, four team, Kinder Search was initiated.

The man did eventually make his own way on the Snake Road from where he thumbed a lift to the Ladybower Inn.  He was later met there by members of Edale team who were able to check on his welfare.
