Incident report

On Sunday Buxton team was called to Barber Booth, Edale, following reports of an incident on Jacobs Ladder.

The casualty, a 73 year old female from Knaresborough, had been walking in the area with her son when she became unwell and collapsed. She had recovered sufficiently to start walking when she was met by team members making their way up to her location. She was treated by team members and the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance doctor. The helicopter had landed some distance away due to the difficult terrain. The woman was assisted to the foot of Jacobs Ladder by rescuers, and then transported in the team Land Rover along tracks to the land ambulance waiting further down the road.

The casaualty was then transferred to the Northern General Hospital, Sheffield, for further treatment.
