Incident report

Twenty eight members of Buxton and Edale Mountain Rescue Teams responded when called to Hollins Farm in the Edale Valley.  East Midlands Ambulance Service requested assistance following the report of a 66 year old lady from Barnsley having suffered a fractured arm.  The lady was walking with family and friends and was descending from Hollins Cross when she slipped on the muddy track and fell on to an outstretched arm.

The lady was given pain relief by team members before being placed on a stretcher and carried back to the road where an ambulance was waiting.
