Incident report

Buxton Mountain Rescue Team was called to Harboro Rocks, near Brassington. Although this location is within the operational area of the Derby Team, they were already committed to a search in Staffordshire.

A 12 year old boy from New Mills was with a school group walking the High Peak Trail. When he went to explore the neighbouring Harboro Rocks, he slipped on loose rock and sustained a suspected lower leg fracture/dislocation.

He was treated on site by the crew of the air ambulance which had landed nearby and flown to the Royal Derby Hospital for further treatment. The team was stood down en-route.
