Incident report

A joint call for both Buxton and Edale mountain rescue teams following the reported collapse of a twenty-three year old female from Birmingham.  The lady had been walking with her partner when the incident occurred near to a spot known locally as Bungalow Corner in Grindsbrook.

The Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air-ambulance was first on scene and the crew had become very concerned for the young woman who was suffering severe asthma attack .

Team members responded urgently and the casualty was carried by stretcher from the scene to the aircraft landing site as quickly as possible.  Emergency treatment was ongoing as the helicopter took off heading towards Sheffield Northern General Hospital.
