Incident report

Edale and Buxton Teams called following a report of an female walker with an injured knee near to Halfway Rocks in Grindsbrook.

The lady had been out walking from Edale and had aggravated an old knee injury making it difficult for her to continue.   At first she was assisted by two Edale team members who attempted to help her with the aid of a walking pole.  However, as she became further distressed and as other rescue members and equipment arrived,  she was placed on a rescue stretcher and carried back down to Edale where her friends were waiting.
