Incident report

Buxton Team called to assist North West Ambulance with a casualty in the Dane Valley near Gradbach.   The casualty was a 35 year old male from Bristol who had slipped and sustained an injury to the right foot whilst walking in a remote area.  After calling for assistance he was then able to hobble towards a position more easily accessible for an ambulance crew.

An ambulance and an Ambulance First Responder were first on scene and rendered early treatment before assisting him to a 4 x 4 vehicle for onward transport to a Macclesfield hospital.

The rescue team, which had been called as a back up to the ambulance crew, rendezvoused at Gradbach Youth Hostel were not, in the event, required.
