Incident report

Buxton, Kinder and Derby mountain rescue teams were contacted at 10am along with search dogs to assist Derbyshire Police with the search for a man who had been missing since the early morning. The teams were assembling at Buxton Team’s Dove Holes base and search plans were being drawn up in consultation with the police and the local quarry manager, when the missing person was found near houses by friends and family. He was able to walk to safety and was attended to by a team paramedic for injuries sustained during his absence. He was taken to Macclesfield General Hospital for a check-up.
