Incident report

Whilst the previous incident at Stanage was ongoing, mountain rescue assistance was requested to assist with a 64 year old male walker, from the Burnley area, who had collapsed whilst walking with friends in Cressbrook Dale.

Team personnel were deployed and as the Stanage incident was closing, the available snatch squad were further deployed to assist. The casualty was treated on site by ambulance service and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance paramedics before being evacuated by stretcher and then a team vehicle to a land ambulance waiting at Wardlow Mires.

The man was then transported to Chesterfield Royal Hospital for further treatment.
