Whilst packing up from a previous task another incident involving a mountain biker was reported.  Woodhead MRT had already been called to the accident in the upper Derwent Valley but it transpired that access to the casualty site would be easier from the bottom of the valley.  Not Buxton’s patch, but being in the area five members went to assist.

The mountain biker, from York, had been thrown over the handlebars but because he was wearing a helmet suffered only abrasions and a fractured collar bone.   With the help of his friends the casualty had been able to make his own way to Fairholmes car-park and the rescue teams were stood down on route.
