Incident report

Whilst taking part in Buxton MRT’s annual Christmas street collection in Castleton, the first of three calls for the day materialised. The team were approached by a passer-by about a 52 year old lady who had collapsed near to the Visitor Centre.  Her friends had vitally put her in the recovery position immediately.  After initial assessment by a team first-aider, and a few concerning moments she slowly improved following treatment with oxygen and insulating from a cold day in a casualty bag.  She was then assisted into the Visitors Centre who kindly allowed us to use their store room to enable her to be thoroughly assessed by Edale MRT’s paramedic, and then await an ambulance to hospital for further assessment.
