Incident report

Edale and Buxton M.R.Ts called to assist the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air-ambulance attending Burbage Rocks following the report of a fallen climber.

A twenty-eight year old lady from Sheffield had fallen approximately four metres from the rock face sustaining suspected pelvic injuries.  The casualty was treated on site by an Edale M.R.T. Doctor and paramedics from the air-craft.  She was then placed on a rescue team stretcher for the short evacuation to Burbage Bridge where the air-ambulance had landed in the middle of the road.   Following transfer to the aircraft she was flown to a Sheffield hospital.
