Incident report

East Midlands Ambulance Service called for the assistance of Buxton Mountain Rescue Team to carry a 64 year old man from the middle of Chapel en le Frith golf course to a waiting roadside ambulance.

The man was enjoying a round when he splipped and sustained a suspected fractured ankle. With conditions so wet underfoot the ambulance staff called for the help of the rescue team rather than risk another injury carrying the man off the course.  The man, from Hazel Grove, was treated by E.M.A.S. paramedics before being taken to a Stockport hospital.
