Incident report

A 63 year old lady from Ashbourne was out walking the dog with her husband in an area near Solomons Temple when she slipped on a patch of mud and dislocated her knee. The lady was treated by EMAS Ambulance Paramedics and placed on a rescue stretcher and carried by 11 Buxton team members to the road ambulance for onward travel to hospital.

    Can’t thank you enough for helping my wife Liz after her slip. The sudden bending of her leg when she slipped pulled the tendon and muscle away from the bone on her knee joint. She underwent emergency surgery at Macclesfield Hospital to re attach the tendon and muscle and is now at home. Could be a 6 mth recovery. Once again thank you, you were amazing.
