Incident report

Edale and Buxton Mountain Rescue Team’s Joint Snatch Squad called to an incident on a footpath between Grindleford and Stoney Middleton where a 60 year old male walker had started to feel acutely unwell.

An East Midlands Ambulance Service community paramedic was first on scene to deliver medical care.  Following assessment, rescue team members lifted him on to a stretcher and carried him down hill to Stoney Middleton were an ambulance waiting.   In the early stages of this incident another call was received relating to an injured walker near to Calver. Most Buxton members on route to Grindleford diverted to the new call, see incident 87.
